At Roselle Gallery, we are honored to present "Festividad de los muertos," a dazzling work where master Esteban Machado Díaz invites us to the most joyful and musical celebration of the afterlife. In this canvas, death is not a somber end, but a luminous reunion full of rhythm, flavor, and brotherhood.

On a pier bathed in the golden light of a perpetual sunset, the souls of the greatest icons of Latin American culture gather for an unforgettable banquet. Machado Díaz orchestrates a masterful fusion between Mexico and the Caribbean: on a table adorned with colorful papel picado, roast suckling pig merges with traditional Mexican dishes, and a toast is made uniting the spirit of agave with the sweetness of sugar cane.

The genius of the work lies in its guests. Stripped of their flesh but overflowing with identity, we recognize these geniuses by their unmistakable style: the eternal Celia Cruz approaching from the horizon; Cantinflas and Jorge Negrete enlivening the evening; Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, united forever in the center of the composition; and the rhythmic elegance of Pedro Vargas, Benny Moré, and Juan Gabriel. Together, they celebrate, sing, and dance, proving that art and music are, indeed, immortal.

The dead gather around a table to enjoy food and drinks, the result of the fusion of Mexican and Caribbean cuisine, agave and sugar cane.

In this recreational work the characters are identified by their attire, by their gifts, celebrating, singing and dancing to make this encounter magnificent; the celebration of the Day of the Dead.
