In 1946, Frida paints ‘The Wounded Deer’ using the body of her pet deer, “Granizo” (Hail), as the model, representing her suffering and following a disappointing spine surgery. We assume the coincidence and add the Martí fountain, the fountain of tenderness, of passions, a Frida, again with wings, that elevate her in flight to universal distances.
