Miami Pays Artistic Homage to Celia Cruz’s Centennial

The iconic Freedom Tower in downtown Miami hosted a gala celebration on October 11, 2025, marking a historic dual occasion: the 72nd anniversary of Diario las Américas and, most notably, the commemoration of the centennial of the birth of the unforgettable "Queen of Salsa," Celia Cruz.

Within this atmosphere of cultural festivity, Roselle Gallery, led by its founder Roselle León, played a leading role in the tribute. The gallery unveiled two exclusive works by the renowned Cuban painter Esteban Machado Díaz, created specifically to honor the memory of the "Guarachera de Cuba."

According to reports from the event, these artistic pieces became the center of attention for the evening. They captured the admiration of the attendees—including local authorities, religious leaders, and prominent figures from the Cuban community—for their ability to evoke the joy and vibrant spirit that always characterized the artist.

Roselle León highlighted the significance of the moment, describing it as a privilege to merge art with the legacy of a figure who embodies the talent and passion of all of Latin America. The event served not only as a remembrance of Celia's music but as a reaffirmation of her enduring impact on the culture of Miami and the world.
